Corinne Maxfield, originally from small town Julian, CA, has always loved anatomy and movement. She grew up spending as much time as possible in classical dance studios; always encouraged by her gymnast mother in artistic pursuits. She spent her last years of school living abroad in Japan and Germany, training and touring in the art and theater community. Throughout intensive movement training, she sustained challenging injuries that surgery and physical therapy could not rehabilitate. Her mother suggested Pilates, and moms are always right! Corinne reconfigured her journey to heal with Pilates successfully. Alongside her mother, she became passionate about it's amazing therapeutic and athletic potential, and devoted herself to full time education. They mutually committed to the STOTT method, and together received their complete STOTT Pilates Certification at the Marshall Eklund Pilates and Fitness Studio. Corinne continues to regularly attend workshops and training to further enrich her knowledge in facial connective tissue, degenerative diseases, autoimmune disorders, pre/post natal care, and recovery and rehabilitation. She credits her mom with the stamina to pursue this dream career, as their mutual love for Pilates carried them through the STOTT certification process as a solid team. Corinne is thrilled to be a team member at Power Power Pilates. She is excited to help people develop a healthy relationship with their body, quide through the healing process, and motivate towards wellness goals with enthusiasm, patience and unconditional compassion.
